TAKES MORE THAN A WEEK TO ACTIVATE NEW PHONE

Applied for a contract phone for my wife. Got the phone. Been waiting for a week now to get the line activated. Excuse is apparently because I asked that she keeps her prepaid number? I was told 24 hours. Like I said it is a week now?
