Complete Lack of Customer Service

I took out an MTN contract in November last year. I was put onto the wrong contract, it took 3 weeks to move me onto the right one, the phone they gave me didn't work and just stopped working. The billing amount was R40 more than it should have been, took 2 months to get that sort. they blacklisted me, because they didn't up the "overdraft" and the debit orders only go off after the 3rd month. My phone was, they didn't have the serial number, because they had cut corners.

The last problem is that I opted-out for marketing comms 4 times (after never opting in at all, i never do by SMS and only now and then by email if i really like the brand) but they continue to contact me. I have emailed them and tweeted at them to sort this out, but every-time there is a problem I have to give them xyz and phone abc etc to get it sorted out. they have been rude and no one seems to be actually able to help or even know what to do or even what can be done.

The above and other minor things that have gone wrong have been my experience with MTN during a 5 month period.
