I have been without my Samsung Galaxy S3 since December 2012 (Handed in when it was 1 month old on contract). It has gone in now 6 times to Vodacom Repairs in Johannesburg (I am in Durban). It was returned numerous times only having a software upgrade performed and eventually the board was replaced. Despite this it has had a persistent malfunction.
I would like to request a credit and get a new handset of a different kind (as requested previously). I do not want a new Galaxy S3 as was given to me after the last time it was sent for repairs. This didn't seem to be a problem in e-mail communication between the Vodacom Repair Centre in Johannesburg and myself, but it still has not happened.
The repair numbers are : 8453746, 8490042, 8546046, 8612264, 8676085, 8708272. This began on 30/12/2013. The last number is from yesterday (21/03/2013)
I had requested a refund but was told this is not possible, which I find odd. At the moment I request a credit to the store that I got the phone from and to get another handset of a different kind and of similar value. Thereafter I will not be renewing my contracts with Vodacom once they expire. You have lost a customer.
