Refusing to pay my insurance claim

I bought Cell phone (Samsang Galaxy SII) from MTN last year (2012), they recommended that I take insurance on the Cell phone. I took insurance with them and I paid my monthly instalments as stated in the contract. I got robbed and loose the phone like that, when I tried to claim they told me that they can not pay because I was using a wrong number on the phone of which that's the number i bought the phone with the number. The phone got robbed with the number I bought it with.
