Iphone 5 new contract

I'm very unhappy with MTN service.
After being a Vodacom client for 16yrs I decided to give MTN a try. But now, I think I made a mistake.
I applied for a new iphone 5 contract (Anytime 200, white 16GB handset) on Saturday, 2 Mar 13 at the MTN store in Irene Mall. The person, guy in his early 20s, who helped me told me he will call me either later on Saturday or then Sunday. And that my phone will be available on Monday, because they will receive it from the depot. He never called me.
On Monday after 16:00 I called the store to find out what is going on. The guy who answered the phone said he will find out and call me back. He also never called me!
I went to the store on Saterday, 9 Mar 13. The guy who helped me, knew nothing - he could not give me any indication when I will receive my phone - neither did he apologise!
Is this is the type op service MTN provides?
I applied an signed the contract on the basis I receive the phone the Monday. I don't appreciate being to, MTN created the expectation I will have my phone on 4 Mar 13.
If I don't get it very soon I want my contract cancelled an I will take my money elsewhere where I can be valued as a customer!
