Faulty Phones and ADSL Since Octobe

I have a home phone with ADSL, a work phone and my grandmother has one too, these are at three different addresses. In the past 2 months they have all had faults, they've been out of service for more time than they have been in service.. Only the work phone is currently working!

My Grandmother's phone didn't work from the end of November and all of December, she was consequently unable to receive any calls on her 98th birthday. It was fixed in the beginning of this month and only worked for a week until another fault has arisen.

My ADSL on my home phone line has been down since the beginning of October, it got fixed intermittently for a day or two at a time but the download speeds were so slow that it was almost useless, and now it's failed again. Last week Telkom Technician eventually said that my Router was damaged! I've replaced my router and had it installed by a professional that phoned Telkom, who did a diagnostic on the ADSL line. The line was once again confirmed to be faulty!

I got to work last Monday and found the phone and credit machine down, try run a business without them! It is currently working, Touch Wood!
