ADSL through Telkom does not work!!!
1) i applied for ADSL which they had supplied without notifying me - I therefore had to pay for 3 months of ADSL without even knowing that I had it. In fact the technician incorrectly said that he had installed it for me. i had to go to the Telkom offices at Rvierside mall to collect my own modem. When I wanted to install it, the line was not functional. That was beginning of December 2012. I reported the fault (which Telkom denies.) but when I returned in Jan 2013 it had miraculously been fixed.
Since then we have had interrupted service. For at least 3-4 times. I am currently without an ADsL line!
When I phoned the call centre about a refund I was treated as if I was lying about the technician not being at my house! I am receiving less than 1 months credit for the 3 months of not knowing about the ADSL! Even though I have spoken to then 2-3 weeks ago I have had NO reply from then!!
I want to cancel my ADSL account.
