More than two days to activate my Sim Card

I upgraded my contract on Sunday 03/03/2013 at Irene Village Mall. My was told that it would take about 4 hours or so for my new micro sim to be activated. I then waited until late in the evening, more than 6 hours later and still had no service on my phone. I then phoned the Vodacom customer care line who was so unhelpful and a gentleman by the name of Marlin refused to help me because he stated that the authentication didn't want to authorize my account, so I had to phone some other help line. I had to phone them then twice after another sim swop was done, still with no success. My complex security gate works off my phone, so I had trouble getting into my own house. I just feel that Vodacom didn't do everything in their power to help me sort this problem out. It's now almost 3 days after this and I still don't have any phone access.
