Vodacom
Vodacom/ Vodacare

Ongoing Vodacom problem:

1- My phone was giving ongoing problems with the battery. I had to charge up to 6 times a day. I contacted Vodacom in June and was told to take the handset in to have it checked. I struggled to get a standby phone and to back up my phone before I was able to get to Vodacom to sort it out which started this nightmare!
2- 17th August 2013, I took the phone into Vodacare at Canal Walk in Cape Town.
3- 2 1/2 hour wait, was advised the battery was swollen and charger was not connecting correctly.
4- Phone had to be sent away to be assessed.
5- The store was being revamped, told my phone would be ready on Tuesday the 20th of August.
6- 19th of August, sms received saying my phone had been sent to Maitland repair hub.
7- 22nd August, quote given for battery and charger (advised to have a tiny bit of dust cleaned off screen for an extra R10). I told them I would consider the quote for the battery and charge and let them know the following day as it was very expensive.
8- Tracey suggested just charger as buying the battery would be more than phone was worth. I questioned how I could buy just the charger if the battery was the problem.
9- The quotes given to me
