On the 31st of December 2012 Vodacom had debited my account for my various contracts held with them. While they have permission to do so the amount for ONE said account was well over R2000.00! I understand and agree that if you use the service and run up a bill you are liable for said payment. HOWEVER, I had in May 2010 already placed a voluntary limit on the account to a quarter of that value. I had lodged a service request with the call centre and received a message on the 02nd of January 2013 informing me that if the limit is not enforced I am still liable for payment. I find it extreme exploitation that a customer's request for a set limit is not adhered to all just because my phone is on contract, BUT if I were on prepaid and my R29 airtime was used that would be that, now why is it that as a loyal Vodacom customer that principle cannot be adhered to on my account. I am entirely dissatisfied and disappointed in the behaviour of this supplier. I am seriously considering changing service providers, however, just another innocent citizen will be taken advantage of to ensure their own continuity!
Supremely disgusted!
