Got a new MTN data contract for 2 gig a month at R119 per month. The contract started in the middle of the month so they allocated me 1gig for the first period. When the first payment was taken from my bank account (they did not send an invoice) it was R206.24. When I queried the amount I was told that the bill was for R119 plus a pro rata amount of R87.24 for the first period. Complained to Customer Services and they said that the pro rata is worked on days plus VAT and not according to the amount of data given. This makes no sense to me the pro rata gave me half the data and so should cost half the subscription.
