Do Telkom Products have a Warranty or not?

I purchased a Azurite D16T Cordless phone for R299 from your Telkom gateway on 17 Nov 2011
On the 1st of June 2012 (7 months later) I returned the phone as it stopped working and was replaced with another phone of the same.
yesterday I returned to the store as the replaced phone has stopped working after 7 months of use again!
The manager of the store Row Moonsamy says that this product is not under warranty and cannot be replaced.
She states that my warranty is only in affect for the duration of 12 months from my initial purchase date.
This I cannot accept as my proof of purchase says "12 Months warranty on all telkom products"
is this the case only for the initial one purchased and is telkom saying that the replacement one which was also a brand new phone replaced in June last year, has no warranty? how can this be!
