Shocking Service Received at MTN Lakeside Mall

I wish to place on record my incredible frustration and irritation at dealing with the staff at the MTN branch in Lakeside Mall, Benoni. First and foremost, I am not a customer of MTN but had to visit the store to blacklist an instrument as my son was using a MTN pre-paid sim card on the instrument at the time of the.

I spoke to Sylvia at the main reception desk who promptly told me that she could not assist as I needed to call MTN directly to black list the instrument. I asked her to call on my behalf as I had taken the time to visit the store and would appreciate the help. She was so adamant that I eventually asked her if they only sold instruments and covers with no after sales service or support. She proceeded to tell me that they were only a franchise and not MTN direct so we must deal with MTN directly. I find it shocking that your brand is being carried by a franchise and is being given such a bad reputation.

I find it amazing that you still manage to survive in your industry when the only differentiator between competitors is service. I would never want to deal with MTN again in future. Maybe consider having customer service training for staff!!!
