On 23 August, I accepted a Nokia ASHA 2500 phone which was sold to me via a telephonic sale by an agent at Monde, a direct sales company affiliated to Vodacom. I was advised that delivery would take five working days, and was also given the phone number 0861236666 to call, should I want to cancel the deal. On 29 August I received the phone in question, which was delivered by a courier service at my office in Sunnyside, Pretoria. On receipt, I found that the instrument was falling short of my expectations. On 5 September I called in and cancelled the deal. I was given the cancellation reference number : 32924, and told that Monde would collect the instrument within 3-5 working days. The person at the other end of the line said only once the unwanted instrument was collected, would I be in a position to order the phone I preferred.
I am into the third week now, since I cancelled the deal. I have called Monde three times since the cancellation. Their last excuse was that it takes 7-10 days to process the cancellation and collect. 19 September was the 10th day. Until they collect this phone I cannot order the phone I need at a Vodashop.
Please help. I need a phone, but not this one
