I signed a contract with Mtn for an internet memory card (modem). The issue is that there is no 3G coverage in the area I'm in (JaneFurse/ Limpopo) and the sales people in Burgersford did not notify me of this.
I then called Mtn cancellations department and I was told I'd have to pay a penalty fee for cancellation (i refused). Cancellation passed me on to the network coverage guys and this was September of 2012. They told me the technician will write a letter stating it's not the customers fault and that my contract should be cancelled. Over 5 months later after numerous calls to the Coverage department my contract is still active and I"m paying R250 for something that doesn't work. To make matters worse the same technician Emmanuel hung up without even saying a word when I tried calling him today. MTN has just become a huge disappointment for me "hleng"
