On 31 January, Vodacom deducted R4731.11 from my bank account in stead of the R829.78 that was owed. Needles to say that I was pretty upset today 11 Feb, when I saw the reason for my bank account having gone into an overdraft. I phoned 082 111 immediately where a lady admitted that a R3901.33 mistake was made on my account and they have credited my (vodacom) acc with the amount but not my bank account. They would not have refunded my money had I not complained. Now that I have complained, it will take between 7 and 14 working days for them to credit my bank account, but, they have already deducted my bill due at the end of Feb and will therefore only refund an amount of R3050.18. A lady at accounts 0821946 put the phone down in my ear when I asked. I am sorry, but this is daylight! They almost R4000 from me, I lose interest and pay interest on an overdraft and I have no money for food or petrol for the rest of this month, because Vodacom wants to keep my (and possibly other customers) money to pay their debts with or to earn interest with!!! No-one even offered an excuse or explanation. I want my money back, with interest, TODAY! How can they just get away with?
