New optic fibre cables

Telkom is upgrading (or is it downgrading??) the cables in the Bloubergsands/West Beach area. Suddenly a lot of houses that have telephone alarm monitoring find their signals when the alarm is triggered being sent into cyberspace. The control room does not get it and your phone bill says it is dialling to the control room - so you get a hecitc bill. And my phone has been blocked for up to 20 minutes. No calls coming in, no calls going out except the stupid auto dial!

Come on Telkom respond to a query - or is this signal also not being transmitted!!! We all have to go to the extra expense of having radios installed because of your inefficient service!! At least respond to a complaint
