Vodacom have been advertising on TV that pre-paid customers can get 1Gb of data for R159. Good luck in trying to get it!
I wanted to get this offer for my son's phone while he was in the Bush. I cannot get it via cell phone banking. I cannot get it on the Vodacom website. I have to go into a shop in order to take advantage of this offer.
I went into Cresta Vodacom shop and the first person I spoke to didn't even know about the offer. On checking with a colleague yes the offer does exist, but to get it I have to buy airtime, then I have to dial another number and convert airtime into data and then go to the promotional and, and and. I lost the will to live thinking that I would have to describe to my son over the phone how to get this data wasting my airtime in the process.
Sorry, If I cannot take advantage of this offer as easily as going into Cell phone banking, or going onto the Vodacom website, or going into a shop and having the data put directly onto the phone in question, then to me this offer is a complete.
I am prepared to bet that having got this pre-paid airtime voucher Vodacom will ignore the provisions S63 (2) of the CPA and expire the data after a month too.
