I would like to complain about the ridiculous rules that apply to Vodacom contracts administered and offered by Autopage cellular.
I am now in month 23 of my 24 month Vodacom contract through Autopage cellular so I am well within my upgrade period and I noticed at an Autopage cellular store a deal for a blue Samsung Galaxy S3 on the Vodacom Smart Standard 229 contract for R349 a month. I thought "Wow! What a good deal! " So I phoned the Autopage Cellular in Faerie Glen, Pretoria to request that I upgrade to this contract and they told me that because I am upgrading it would be R403 a month!!! All I can say is??!?! Really?
I thought that after almost 2 years of loyal support that I would get access to the same contract deals that new customers have! But no! I have to wait another month and a half for my contract to end and then take out a new contract in order to take advantage of this deal. Seriously?
This is utterly ridiculous. And I am not impressed to say the least. I have serious doubt about continuing with Autopage cellular unless I can upgrade to the same contract deals that are available to new customers. Which is really not too much to ask!!!
