I changed by debit order on the 20th of January to the 7th of February as a new i wont have sufficient fund in my account to service my bill that amounted to R783.91. Now this debit still went of on the 31st of Jan and i had to pay that bill via EFT on the 6th of Feb unknowingly that Vodacom had debited my account again for R1659.18 which includes the (R783.91) on the 7th of Feb. To top this all off Vodacom is charging me R100 per unpaid debit and my bank is charging me R115. I spoke to a Madu from the call centre that explained to me that Vodacom invoices their clients on the 3rd of each month and then debit the clients on the agreed debit date. My argument is that if i am invoiced the 3rd of each month and agreed to a debit the 31st of each month this gives me about 27days b4 they debit my account but now they are saying if i agreed to change my debit the 7th of each month and my understanding was that my jan invoice will go off the 7th of feb, they now only gave me 4 days. I think this is daylight. Vodacom has the most debit system ever. My credit scoring in now affected.
