Vodacom
Subscription Services & Sundry Charges

I upgraded in September 2012 from a Blackberry to an iPhone. I remember how the sales lady, Tuzelle, sat across from me and asked me whether I'd like to keep the Sms Bundle to which my reply was: "Nee dankie. Ek kry klomp sms'e by my nuwe kontrak ingesluit so jy kan dit maar afhaal asb". She then explained to me that there will be charges for renewing the contract as well as transferring of the line (from my Mother's name to mine). Which I accepted as I've only ever been a Vodacom subscriber and know that fees are applicable. However, I noticed that my cellphone bill was unusually high and started investigating. I found that for the past three-four months I've continued to pay for the Sms Bundle (R33.00 per month) and there are inexplicable Sundry Charges of R79.00 per month charged to my account. I've phoned to ask what the Sundry Charges are for and she said that it could be a debit order that didn't go off to which I replied that I have never had that kind of problem - that's not it. I am very unhappy because I've always been a proud supporter of Vodacom and have never had any problems with them. However, this is a lot of money and it cannot be explained. So disappointed.
