I would publicly like to complain about MTN, i had my phone at gunpoint while sitting in traffic in the JHB CBD on the 20th December2013. After this i went home and blocked my phone and sim card which was probably an hour and a half later as i had to sit in traffic. To my horror i got my bill on the 23rd of December and noticed that there was an outstanding amount of R12 471.25, i immediately logged a query with MTN customer care, they requested my details, which i provided on the 02/01/2014, they responded ton the 03/01/2014 to advise that my bill was made up of R9 065.78 worth of SMS's, R1 06.69 for calls and R249.26 for data. I Then replied on the 03/01/2014 stating that my phone was at the stage that all those sms's were sent and asked them to advise on the procedure, they advised me on the 07/01/2014 that a query was sent to credit controllers, i have not hear anything from then since and after numerous emails i still have no contact. They have tried to bill me, which resulted in extra charges for me.
Come on MTN, stop making customers suffer for your lack of competency.
