This is not a once off, but rather an ongoing problem dating back some time. My workplace is on a farm 30km away from the nearest town on a mine. We use internet daily, but only recently got connected at work (I use to do everything from home at night). The problem is the internet speed from Vodacom is terribly slow (5, 25b/sec). I have a data bundle with Vodacom, but cannot use it at work effictively. Several more people are complaining about it and many of them switch to Cell-C. I can literally see both towers from my office, and tested Cell-C with great success.
I really want to switch to Cell-C right now, but still have months to go on my Vodacom contract. No-one can help me to cancel my contract without having to pay for the remainder of the contract period. I know I'm in an "outlaying" area, but I pay the same rates as everyone else, why should I be happy with GPRS at 5, 25b/sec???
