My work required me to travel abroad, usually in Africa. Hence, I chose MTN as service provide through Nashua Mobile due to their network coverage and roaming rates. Numerous trips have been completed without any incidences (except for one overseas trip to EU when my bill surprised me, but I paid the bill). However, recently traveled to DRC for 3 days (as always, last trip done in Dec 2013 without any such surprises) and my phone gets locked due to an overdue account of almost R12 000 (on average my accounts - trips included - is roughly R2500). I requested an itemised bill, and the bill does not make sense i.e. only from day 2 abroad do they start billing me enormous amounts. Please advise!
