Phone disconnected - unnecessarily

Due to the postal strike our accounts were not received in time, and therefore we made an interim payment of R500 - the account was therefore short paid by - R300, and the line was disconnected. Unfortunately After having been away until today... We arrived home as we had received very sad news that there had been a death in the family, only to find the phone disconnected.

We tried to call the call centre to have the phone reconnected and were willing to pay via eft or credit card in order to have the phone reconnected as soon as possible, but were told that it would be 24 - 48 hours before the phone would be reconnected.

I find this unacceptable as the phone is always paid in full... And as you can imagine this left us in a difficult situation as the phone would have been useful.
