3 Month Trial No Obligation if cancelled

On 9 November 2011 a 3 month trial was signed with Telkom for ADSL. At the end of December 2011 this service was cancelled with a months advance notice as Mrs Oosthuizen was going overseas. She went into the local Telkom branch and cancelled this service, she asked the Telkom Consultant if she had cancelled in time for the no obligation trial. She was told all was done in time and not to worry. Mrs Oosthuizen went overseas at the beginning of February. In July Mrs Oosthuizen was still receiving an account for this service. I, Amanda Mould, her daughter phoned Telkom and explained everything to them. We no longer received accounts, so thought the matter resolved. On Thursday 28 March 2013 Mrs Oosthuizen receives an sms while visiting South Africa telling her to pay R2700.00 immediately on this account. On Thursday 4 April 2013 at 7:30am in the morning she receives a rude phone call from Telkom telling her to contact their attorneys and make immediate payment. As Mrs Oosthuizen is travelling, I went on her behalf to Port Alfred Telkom office and they have no record of her Internet cancellation only of her line cancellation. Dispute number 26861846 was lodged this morning for R 1765
