Useless service!

The cellphone contract that I am actively using now is in my mother's name. In the past, whenever I wanted to upgrade my phone, she would write a permission letter that I could take to a store with a copy of her ID and they would be able to assist me from there and then I would get what I want. Now for some inexplicable reason there is a deal for the galaxy S4 on a Smart S that includes 500MB of data x 24 months that is only availiable online/via phone in and thus not in store. So I helped my mother (whom is rather technologically limited) to place the order on the deal for me online. The website was rather ambiguous and I was not sure if the order went through as an upgrade as I intended, but rather it looked like a new contract. So I phoned the vodacom call centre who confrimed that it was for an upgrade. After that I arranged with RAM couriers to deliver the package to my work. They said it was fine if I can show a copy of my mothers ID and have a permission letter which I did. When the courier arrived he said that I could not take the package because it was for a new contract and not an upgrade. Now I need to fight to have the new contract cancelled and I still don't have my upgrade.
