My contract was due for upgrade 2013. Did this online through the MTN Shop. Upgrade processed & phone delivered. December 2013 - phone (Galaxy S4) develops a green line down the screen. Am advised by the Northgate shop to take it to Midrand Repair Centre. They refuse phone and say I am to contact MTN direct. Am then advised to take it to Morningside, who advises me to take it back to Midrand!! So I did AGAIN. This time I got a consultant with a brain and good attitude - Angela. Phone was booked for Warranty Assessment. And I was advised of a collection number the next day. Angela said all I would then need to do is phone the retention department with the number and they will issue a new phone. Now 5 agents later, they say they are waiting for the documentation from the repair centre. Its been 4 days. I have no cell. The sim is dormant. I have had to borrow a company phone for which I have to pay for! I can't even speak to a Manager as when I am put on hold, I can hold for over an hour with no response. Everyone just keeps passing the buck! Surely MTN is in breach of my contract as they are withholding my phone with no reason!
