I was recommended to get a Blackberry Z 10 cell phone for my upgrade (cell number 083 282 4288) and completed the contract on 1 March 2013 . The Summerstrand Village MTN Shop obtained the Z 10 phone a few days later and I then followed the instructions to use the existing battery life before charging for 8 hours as advised. I returned the phone within 24 hours as the phone was faulty. I also advised the MTN staff that I would like to change the upgrade contract to an Apple iPhone 5 upgrade instead of the Z 10 (in view of this problem and other complaints I had read about on internet! The MTN Shop eventually advised me that they had a replacement Z 10 phone for me to collect. I refused to collect this phone as I want the Apple iPhone 5 instead and I agreed to pay the difference in the contract per month cost. Despite numerous attempts and calls/ e mails to MTN Customer Service and Head Office I still do not have agreement from MTN to change the upgrade contract. The MTN shop also refuse to put in writing that they will not change the contract! I am advised that if you return goods within 7 days you are entitled to a refund / change?? Please can you get MTN to change
