In Dec we went to our farm-no reception so I switched my phone off. Went into town, switched my phone on-it was just searching for a signal. Went to the Vodacom shop at the Mountain Mill Mall and the man said it was the sim card-he swopped it and said that it would take a few hours to activate. I said that we would be returning to our farm that has no reception-would it be a problem to which he replied "no". Days later we went into town-again still searching. Went to the same shop-the man wasn't there-a girl helped me. She checked the cellphone and sim, did this&that and it worked!! To the farm again and when we went home a few days later - same problem. Went to the Repair Centre in Somerset West-the engineer thought that my phone did an update (all by itself) and took the carrier option on the phone with it?!? I was told to rather send it to the Advanced Repair Centre in JHB-it would take a week. Phoned 0821944 x 7 - "being checked by a technician" 13 working days later still no news. My husband went to the Centre in S'west today to enquire..R2300 to fix-no explanations!! I think its unacceptable and so expensive! I am a teacher-I cannot answer calls during the morning. Very disappointing.
