I tried to use my loyalty points to buy a 1GB data bundle on the Friday the 10th of January 2014. I loaded the data bundle from the *141*0# options. it cost me 10 000 loyalty points. When I did the 141 exercise again and checked my balance after loading the data bundle I got a internet balance of 0 data. I logged the call with MTN and they suggested I give it 24hrs however my work colleague says his normally works immediately. I phoned again the Monday and they had sent a request through to someone to check the query. I phoned few times more last week to see if it was resolved. I phoned again today and was told that the data was loaded and used again. This is utter rubbish. I have come to the conclusion that Loyalty points are pointless as there was no benefit for me. A simple request to have a data bundle seems to be a very complicated matter for MTN.
