On 20 August 2013 i received an email from Vodacom indicating that my data contract was due for an upgrade. I was given 3 packages to choose from. i chose the one for R39/pm with 500mb for 24 months using my own device. i clicked on the upgrade link on the email and completed the required fields which needed my details. The following day I received a call from CCD Courires with a sim card from Vodacom. I thought you now get a new sim card for upgrade. I replaced the old simcard on my tablet with the new one. On the 20th of September Vodacom debited my bank account with 2 amounts the new R39 and the old R329 on the old contract. I thought maybe they had already loaded the debit order at the time of the upgrade so i left it like that. Then on 20 October they billed me twice again. I the queried this and I was told that at the time of upgrading my contract, the link took me to New Line and not Upgrades so i was paying for 2 contracts. I told them I had never opened a new line I just upgraded. I complained on numerous occasions without any investigation from Vodacom or for refund on the line that i never used but paid for. Until today Vodacom doesn't want to assist me.
