I registered for line installation in November 2013. Earliest date for installation was the 10th of Jan 2014. No installation was made on the 10th of Jan 2014. Telkom contacted me and told me that the date is postponed to 29th of Jan. Worse part is that they cant give a specific time. This means that I have to spend a whole day at home waiting for Telkom to install the line (even though they don't pitch up). This wouldn't be a problem if I didn't have a job, but unfortunately money doesn't fall from the sky. I already have a ADSL account at another company. The ADSL account costs money, but I cannot use it at all.
I tried phoning their office multiple times, but they simply don't answer their phones. Ironic that the biggest telecom company in South Africa does not answer their phones.
