I took out a vodacom airtime only contract, as I had a phone which I could use. In the interim my phone stopped working. I contacted Vodacom to enquire if I could change my airtime only contract into a phone contract. I was advised that I couldn't and I would have to take out another, which I did not want, as I would get another number. The 2nd option was that I should terminate contract. To terminate the contract would cost me 1100 for nothing. Which I was not satisfied with and as terms and conditions does not expressly state the cost of contract termination, only that Vodacom can charge whatever they like. So I paid the cancellation costs as I needed my cell phone number and needed a phone. This happened a week ago. I submitted all documents as requested twice. A week later nothing has happened, now Vodacom will charge me for an additional month even though I had paid the fee based on canceling in last month. Retention a advises that they have not received anything and the response I will get here will probably be:
