Changing price plan and contract termination

I called vodacom asking to terminate my contract and the consultant told me that I would have to pay 75% of my cellphone contract. That I wasn't pleased with because upon opening my contract cell phone I wasn't told about that amount I would have to pay..
When I asked to change my price plan they told me I would have to pay a fee since I want to change my price plan and I am surprised at this because I last changed my price plan for free and now I have to pay of which it is a shock to me..

With this I can officially say I hate being an owner of a contract cell phone from vodacom, when you want to terminate your contract the consultants convince you not to terminate it and change your price plan and when you ask to change it you have to pay a fee.. It's ridiculous. I for one am not pleased with vodacom at all. To top things up they do their debit order on an incorrect date. I'm not pleased with this network at all.

I regret getting a contract phone from vodacom.
