I bought a Sony Z1 cellphone on 30 November 2013. I chose this phone as it is advertised as a dust proof, waterproof and shatterproof cellphone. This phone suits my needs as I spend a lot of time outdoors. Two days after I bought it, I bent down to tie my shoe laces and the phone fell out of my pocket about 35cm from the ground. The screen was badly shattered and I couldn't use the phone at all. I took the phone to my nearest Vodashop in Welkom, and they told me it will cost R5000 to replace the screen, which is half the price of the phone. I think it is totally ridiculous that a phone that is advertised as shatterproof can break so easily, I have dropped my Blackberry from greater heights and and nothing happened to it. If I have known that the screen breaks so easily and is so expensive, I would rather have bought two cheaper phones. I have also heard of several incidents with the same complaint
