Is it acceptable for your sony Xperia's screens to crack when dropped? Mine dropped off my lap while exiting my car, fell facedown onto a gravel surface and is badly cracked. Despite the Xperia being scratch and dust-proof, I can't believe the damage to my screen after dropping my phone for the first time from a height of about only 45 cm! Mtn has offered to try and fix the screen at R 5000-00 or I may replace my 4-month old cellphone for R 2 600-00. This is not very good ater sales service. I am an estate agent and use my cellphone everywhere I go. People can't believe how badly the screen is damaged. Not very good advertising for a cellphone that boasts about being shock, dust and scratch proof, among other things... I strongly regret my choice of phone with my recent upgrade with MTN and will probably never recommend it to anybody else. My colleague also has the same phone and, guess what??? His screen is also cracked! Perhaps the manufacturer forgot to actually toughen the screen-glass, or something???
