Vodacom
Complaint

My husband and I both went to Vodacom in December, my Blackberry packed up and I could upgrade on the 1st of December and my husband was due for an upgrade already for a few months. We looked at the phones available and decided on the Huawei. The consultant assisted us and told us the price on the pamphlet is for an open contract and he would suggest we take up a R200 top-up, R99 for the handset and R199 airtime. Meaning that once the R199 airtime is used we have to go and buy airtime, we will never go over the R200.
Now in January I receive our accounts for payment end January. My husband with an average for the whole of 2013 was R246 per month and is now R665 for one month and mine with an average for 2013 of R378 is R1050 for one month.
Only now when I go back to another Vodacom store I'm told that I must take my current R199 airtime and in the beginning of the month buy different bundles, we are both deep into the 50's there are no youngsters in the house to teach us these things. Surely Vodacom should train their staff to try and work differently with the elderly.
