In May 2013 I entered into a contract with Vodacom for a Samsung Galaxy Ace Advance. The phone was an out of box failure and another was issued. Just over a week and the same problems occurred: the phone stops receiving or making phone calls and stops receiving or sending smses; effectively it is useless. I have sent it in for repairs numerous times (Job nos. 9049821-38123868; 9155156-39284526; 9207407-38126892) each time, a few days after collection the same problems re-occurred. In addition I eventually filled in a Consumer Protection Complaint ito S 55 and S 56 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (attached to Job no.9127701) and despite this complaint the phone was returned - without any comment or even recognition of the CPA notice - and the same problem re-occurred again 3 days later. I've now had to send it in again (Job no. 9527742). I cannot believe that a phone I've supposed to have had for 8 months so far has not even given me 3 months worth of use and everybody tells me there is nothing they can do to help me!
