Bad Attitude when I enquired on changing a phone

I bought a brand new Nokia Lumnia 520 phone from MTN Carletonville on 31 December 2013. The phone has not worked up to expectations and I planned to return it and seek an alternative from the MTN Store on 07 January 2014. I sought advise from the consultant behind the counter, Sisky Mogasi, who rudely interrupted me and said 'She does not deal with second hand phones'. I asked her is there an alternative as the phone is not working as expected. She further went on to say' There is no alternative', making sneers, raising her voice and showing disrespect. This caused humiliation for me in front of other customers. I further enquired if I could take out a contract to get a better phone, she insisted, there is 'No alternative and said 'I should sell my second hand phone'. I asked her for her name as she is being rude she was emphatic and spelled it out for me, as I mentioned I will report her rude behaviour, she rolled her eyes, and I walked out the store in shock at her treatment towards me as a customer. In this respect, what am I as a customer to do as I am in possession of a phone I am dissatisfied with.
