Xperia not waterproof

I recently sent in my Xperia Z to have the 'safe mode' setting reset. I received it back with a report that says warranty null and void on account of water damage. I am meticulous on replacing the flaps when close to water or dust, and yet the phone failed. Let us see if SONY will repair/replace the handset at their cost.
