Vodacom refuse to repair or replace an under warranty Sony Xperia Z that is supposedly water damaged. Vodacom have told me on numerous occasions that the reason for the damage is because if have left the flaps open. After explaining that I have not, they still refuse to replace or repair this under warranty phone that has an IPX5 and an IPX7 rating. After sending a link to Vodacom proving that their is a design flaw with these phone which proves that water damage could easily be caused by something other than 'open flaps'. It is clear that the Vodacom employees that I have dealt with have little to no technical knowledge and were unable to diagnose my fault correctly. So far, I have only been told that the flaps were open and this is what caused the damage. I have been told that I will have to purchase a new phone. Disgusted!!
