For the second time in less than a year, my sim card stopped working. I went to a Telkom shop in Fourways Gardens and I was given a new Telkom Mobile micro SIM. When I inserted the SIM card into my modem at home I was able to establish a connection, but I couldn't browse the web. I was receiving Out of Bundle messages, which I can't understand because I had more than a 1GB of data on my bundle, that also includes my Night Surfer bundle.
I called the call centre for assistance and I was told that I need to force my SIM card to use 8ta as my mobile ISP, and not use an automatic registration. I tried that, but with no success at all. I was then told that I would have to visit a Telkom store again, and report a case which could take 72 hours to resolve! I have two issues here, the call centre doesn't know what they're doing and everything was working fine until my SIM card was swopped out. I am now paying for a service that I have no access to, and its extremely frustrating. The agents in the call centre have such a limited knowledge on the products that they're supposed to be supporting, it makes me wonder why they're there in the first place!
