I stay at THE ORCHARDS in Pretoria. My Telkom line was discontinued 6 years ago "due to cable ". I was offered a wireless solution which is not an alternative as it is extremely expensive. My neighbor across the street has his line fully functional which tells me that the cable replacement will be less than a kilometre. Why does it take so many years for Telkom to replace that cable or has a decision been taken that there wont be any cable replacements in the future. You busy advertising your "CONVERGENCE SERVICES" which I will never be able to access. Mind you Im not in a remote village therefore the excuse of huge replacement costs doesnt hold water. You are tasked through your ICASA service licence to provide universal service which you failing to do. Im prepared to accept a wireless service at the same costs and quality as the ADSL line I use to have.
