2 years ago, I applied for ADSL line installation at my residence, and was told that there was a high level of cable in my area, and they will not be replacing the lines, and cannot give me an ETA on lines. I tried again last week, as the Telkom website tells me that I can get up to a 4 mb line in my area.
I was told that it would be maximum of 72 hours and I would get a response. No such luck. 6 days later I called them, just to be told the same excuse as 2 years ago. High level of cable, and they wont be replacing the lines. If this is the case, and is still from 2 years ago, then why the heck do I often see Telkom technicians in the area, and why does the website say I could get up to a 4 Mb line?
I just feel that I am getting stonewalled, and Telkom just don't give enough of a hoot to actually investigate anything!
Its a pity they are the only ADSL line provider in this country.
I think the problem is they know it!
