I upgraded my contract on 23 Dec 2013, after being persuaded to continue with said contract, since it was my intention to cancel the contract after 14 years of being a subscriber of vodacom.
The handset (blackberry Z10) was delivered on 24 Dec 2013. On 27 Dec 2013 I did a sim swap at Chatz Zambezi Pretoria in order to activate the new sim card. When I returned home, the new handset was switched on and went through the normal setup process. However, when I tried to access the camera, the following message was displayed: "The camera cant be started". I immediately phoned your customer service centre and I was advised by a gentleman that I had to phone 0821950 since Vodacom delivered a faulty handset and that it had to be replaced by Vodacom. When phoning the number, the pre-recorded message indicated that the call centre would only re-open on 28 Dec 2013. Since 09h00 on 28 Dec 2013 I was sent from pillar to post. I phoned 0821945, 0821959, 0821958 and 0821950. Everyone is just passing the buck! When the upgrades department (0821959) is phoned, the line disconnects - the message: the no you have dialed doesnt exist. I demand a new phoned. This is surely breach of contract!
