Overcharge - Limit block with proof of recording

I called Vodacom to set a limit block on my account. (Jan 2011). During 2011, I had costs for data uasge over the limit and had such frustation in resolving this query. Again in Sep 2012, I had a huge bill for data usage and after much hassles I managed to trace the recording where I set the limit. However it was assumed that my call to Vodacom was made in Jan 2012 and the the Sep 2012 account was credited. I since got confirmation from Vodacom that my call was in fact made in Jan 2011 and now I'm having great difficulty in getting the 2011 credit to my account. The amount is substantial, and even with the proof of the recording made, which I received from Vodacom, I am battling to receive the credit. Is there anything else I can do to resolve this matter, or do I have no option but go legal with this claim.
