I have been trying to get Vodacom to cancel contract that was opened in my name for the past 6 months.

From what I can gather, the went to a Vodcaom outlet with an ID bearing my name, but with a different issue date. Vodacom gave him a laptop and contract without verifying all the necessary information such as employment and residence.

I have spoken to consultants on numerous occasions, and I have submitted a police affidavit with a copy of my real ID. However, I have yet to receive feedback from Vodacom's investigators, and I have even tried calling directly at the head office with no luck. The last time I spoke to a consultant, she promised to get someone to call me back within 3 days -- that was more than a month ago.

I wish that someone at Vodacom would treat this as a serious matter as my personal information has been compromised, not to mention the outstanding contract that bears my name.
