After completing a request for a line transfer, Telkom failed to deliver at all. No estimation can be provided. I have called their call center and I was told that they would be sending a technician out today (11 December) to install my line. At 15:30 I called them to find out where the technician is and was told by callcenter agent "Sam" that they will escalate this to the Durbanville area manager and I should get feedback within approximately 1 hour.
After calling again at 16:30 I was told by another callcenter agent that now the installation date is confirmed for the 8th of January? Also I need to wait for an SMS to be sent to me because that's when an agent will be sent out. Way to go Telkom! I have been a customer for years and now this? I was also told that they do not have any ADSL ports available in Durbanville. The next upgrade is scheduled for March or April and I might get one then. This does not sound like the attitude of a "World class" network to me. I am utterly dismayed at the poor service I have received so far. I have been waiting since the 19th of November and it seems there is no end in sight.
