I have been trying for the last two and a half months to install a telephone line at my apartment with Telkom. I have called Telkom directly on so many occasions that I have lost count. I have spent so much of my own personal time and money that I don't even want to think about it. It sickens me to think that this is the kind of service a person gets when they are willing to buy a product.
On 27 November, I called Telkom to request the installation of a line so that I could have ADSL. I was told that there was not enough capacity in my area and that I would have to wait at least 6 weeks for more capacity to be provided. So I waited 6 weeks only to find out that nothing had been done. A few more weeks passed and I finely was set a date for a technician to come and install my line. On the set date of installation, I received no service. I called Telkom to try and see what the issue was only to hear excuses and blatant. I called again to reorganise another date, which they agreed to, only for them to forget. I then get an SMS stating "your order is receiving attention"... that was almost TWO WEEKS AGO.
If only NeoTel had better products or pricing then I'd go with them!
